Archived Green Chemistry Symposia

DTSC held the third Green Chemistry Symposium entitled "The Synthesis of Success" on October 30, 2007 in Sacramento. An engaging panel of industry, business, and nongovernmental organization speakers were assembled to demonstrate the environmental and economic benefits of Green Chemistry from their processes, tools, practices, and success stories. This was a great opportunity to explore "leading edge" and "practical" aspects of sustainable chemistry and the contributions those concepts can make to a broad spectrum of applications and products.

The Department of Toxic Substances Control and the University of California Center for Occupational and Environmental Health co-sponsored a second symposium on Green Chemistry entitled "Chemicals Policy for a Sustainable California" on June 19, 2007 in Sacramento.
