ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The Waste Extraction Test (WET) is in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Chapter 11, Appendix II. The ECL has compared the WET with the federal Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) and extraction with Municipal Solid Waste Leachate. One report of that study can be found in: Environ. Sci. Technol., 1998, 32, pp 3825-3830.
